Movie Maker Edit Pro v4.1

Combine short AI-generated Image-to-Video and other video clips into real movies.

This app is custom made to turn your growing collection of short Grok Imagine and Gemini Veo Image-to-Video clips into real feature-length movies. It is the first Video Editor built for that exact purpose. It is simple to use and does a great job. You can use Movie Maker Edit Pro, Desktop Edition v4.1 to combine hundreds of small videos, along with your cell phone videos, home movies, or any other movie footage into polished, feature-length films in minutes. Add your own soundtrack from your personal MP3 library with just a few clicks. It automatically inserts transitions between videos, and levels the soundtrack as a dedicated final step. It makes it simple for anyone to create their own movies, no technical knowledge required. While Movie Maker Edit, Web Edition v5.2 is available free of charge, serious movie makers are encouraged to try out Movie Maker Edit Pro, Desktop Edition v4.1 for a one-time purchase of $49.99 to take advantage of the full power of their Windows 11 PCs for movie making. The link is at the bottom of the page.

Iacoletti Software also provides a family of free AI Image-to-video and music creation tools

Movie Maker Create (Grok Imagine) requires an xAI API key. Movie Maker Gemini (Veo) and Lyric Remix Studio require a Google API key and a Gemini Pro subscription ($19.99/month). You pay the API key provider for the tokens you use. They are otherwise free to use.

Movie Maker Edit - Simple to use - How to create a merged video with sound

Goal: Take two or more video clips, trim out the bad parts, soften the seams, choose what audio plays, and export everything as one merged MP4.

1

Import Video

Load your first clip. It creates thumbnails and adds it to the timeline.

2

Append more video

Import one clip, then append any number of additional videos with a single click. Each new clip joins the end of the timeline.

3

Trim and blur

Drag the red region to cut out unwanted parts. The seams between clips are automatically softened with a short 150ms blur-wipe so your movie flows naturally.

4

Change a soundtrack or make a new one

Choose Source (keep original audio), Replace (your MP3 or WAV), or Mix to do both at once - your music plays underneath the original audio.

5

Resolution & orientation

Normalize mixed-format clips to a single output resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p, or 4K) and orientation (16:9, 9:16, or 1:1).

6

Preview

A second window opens playing your merged video with the soundtrack.

7

Quality

Pick an export quality preset - Small file for the smallest download and fastest export, Balanced, or Best quality for the most detail.

8

Export

Your finished movie is saved as a single MP4 file with everything included. Exports are fast, and movies can run up to 3 hours or more.

9

Save your project

Movie Maker Edit Pro, Desktop Edition v4.1 saves complete, self contained project files you can reopen and keep editing later.

10

Normalize Audio

As a dedicated final step, bring your exported movie back in and level its soundtrack to a steady, watchable volume, with the audio kept perfectly in sync with the picture. Both editions do this. Pro runs it at native speed on a film of any length.

Movie Maker Edit - Frequently asked questions

System requirements?

Pro: Windows 11 (64 bit). A multi core CPU and an NVIDIA GPU (NVENC) are optimal for the fastest exports, but Pro runs on any Windows 11 PC. Free Web Edition: any modern browser on Windows, Mac, iPad, or Android - no install required.

How long can my exported movies be?

Pro version: 3 hours or more. The free version is made for shorter videos.

How do I get the app after buying?

Microsoft Store (coming soon): auto-installs and updates, no license key. Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy: email you a license key and download link.

What video formats can I import?

MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV, MTS, WMV, FLV, 3GP, VOB and more. Non-standard files are converted on import.

What does it export?

A standard MP4 that plays anywhere. Choose resolution (480p to 4K), shape (wide, vertical, or square), and quality.

What music files can I use for a soundtrack?

MP3 or WAV audio files.

What is soundtrack normalization?

Levels the volume across your movie so it doesn't jump at every cut. In both editions it is a dedicated final step: after you export, you bring your movie back in and run Normalize Audio. The video is copied through untouched, so it cannot drift out of sync with the audio.

Defaults are optimized for Grok Imagine and Gemini Veo video clips?

Tuned for short image-to-video clips: 720p widescreen, best quality. It preserves the full resolution of the Grok Imagine and Gemini Veo clips you import as a default setting.

What's new in Movie Maker Edit?

Recent improvements:

  • Save your project. Save a project and reopen it later to keep editing where you left off.
  • Normalize Audio, now in both editions. Level your exported movie's soundtrack to a steady, watchable volume as a dedicated final step, with the audio kept perfectly in sync with the picture.
  • Much faster exports in Movie Maker Edit, Web Edition v5.2. The heavy per-clip encoding now uses every processor core on your machine instead of one. Long movies that used to run out of memory and fail now finish.
  • Better transitions. Blur-wipe transitions between clips now render cleanly.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes. The new and improved Movie Maker Edit, Web Edition v5.2 runs on any browser, including Mac, iPad, and Android. No install, no account, nothing to pay, ever.

Movie Maker Edit, Web Edition v5.2 and Movie Maker Edit Pro, Desktop Edition v4.1 are pretty much the same thing. They only differ in the speed and size of movies they can handle:

  • Movie Maker Edit, Web Edition v5.2 is great for shorter movies. Nothing in it is held back on purpose. The limits belong to the browser: it cannot build a finished movie much larger than two gigabytes, it has to hold that movie in memory while it works, and it is never allowed to reach the dedicated video encoder built into your graphics card. That is true no matter which computer or device or operating system it is running on.
  • Movie Maker Edit Pro, Desktop Edition v4.1 is the same editor with the cage taken off. It runs natively on Windows 11, so none of those limits apply. It can easily handle feature-length movies up to 20+GB and 2 1/2 hours in length, and it uses everything your machine has. Every processor core encodes at once, the dedicated video encoder on an NVIDIA graphics card (NVENC) carries the heaviest part of the job, and your movie is written straight to the solid state drive rather than held in memory. The more powerful your Windows 11 PC, the more of it Pro will use. That is the difference between finishing a feature-length film in under half an hour and waiting for hours. It is the obvious choice for serious movie makers.
